“SNHPA has been such a gift to our family. Over the years, I’ve watched my children grow tremendously in their musical knowledge, confidence, and talents through the opportunities they’ve been given. Beyond the music itself, they have built some of their closest friendships there, and the sense of community is truly unlike anything else we’ve experienced in the homeschool world.
What I appreciate most is that SNHPA has something meaningful for each of my children, even though they span a wide range of ages and interests. From age 6 to 15, every one of them has found a place where they can learn, grow, contribute, and belong.
As a homeschool parent, I treasure the opportunities SNHPA creates—not only for musical excellence, but for friendship, mentorship, teamwork, and personal growth. The impact it has had on our family is immeasurable, and I am deeply grateful for the role it continues to play in my children’s lives.” - Chelsea Denbow, (2026)
“SNHPA introduced my homeschooled kids to instruments and music ensembles in elementary school. All the time, dedication and practice they spent studying a musical instrument, and their wonderful teachers that encouraged them, created in my kids a foundation for a strong work ethic. Both of them have gone on to public high schools where they both took first chair in All State, one has a full ride majoring in jazz at one of the prestigious jazz schools in the nation; the University of North Texas. I very sincerely could not be more thankful for this program’s existence.” -Nancy Bearden (2026)
“Our family began with SNHPA in 2022 with our 2 middle school students having some musical background. Over the last 4 years, our children have musically and artfully excelled in so many different ways discovering their love for dance, singing, violin, and guitar. Never did I realize all the unlocked ability of musicianship my children could achieve in such a short time. SNHPA has been a pillar of our family's life here in the homeschool community. Volunteering has been my joy and has become a mainstay where I have learned so much from the students and have had the opportunity to even assist in teaching them! SNHPA has not only helped our kids to discover their abilities and passion in the musical arts, but they have also made amazing friends and connections throughout their journey and we have come to love each and every family we meet. We feel like one big family!” Chanel Monroe (2026)
It is really hard for me to put into words that describe all the ways that SNHPA has positively impacted my family. After TEN years of being in SNHPA, I have graduated 4 confident, fun, friendly, and musically active young adults and SNHPA is greatly responsible for that. SNHPA instructors challenge them to have the courage to perform, and the positive peer pressure takes their skills to new heights as they get to create beautiful and fun music with their friends. They absolutely loved this part of making music with their friends. They do not just do recitals or end of the year concerts but they get opportunities to perform and share the music with the community. My kids began SNHPA as young children with one goal and finished being able to play multiple instruments, and sing, and developed a confidence that they would use in many areas of service and work. SNHPA has a unique gift of not only making music so fun with their exceptional staff, but making the kids feel like they are part of a special family, and that feeling really drives the whole program and makes all the difference for our children. The skills learned here translated to valuable traits used after graduation. Thankfully I still have a few more kids left to continue in the program!
