Danielle Aguon To All Instructors

Danielle Aguon (Music Theory/Piano) is an undergraduate pianist and composer studying at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Music Composition and a minor in Music Technology. Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, she has studied the piano since she was 6 years old under the teaching of Elissa Stutz Lechnir and is currently studying under Dr. Timothy Hoft. She is also studying composition under Dr. Jennifer Bellor. As a classically trained pianist, Danielle studies and performs classical music and explores other music genres, such as jazz, ragtime, pop, and even styles from musical theater. She enjoys playing new music as it allows composers to hear their works come to life, as well as listening to film and video game scores, all of which have inspired her to create compositions of her own for the enjoyment of others and for herself. Outside of school, she is currently working as an SFX editor/foley artist and a piano/vocal teacher at Nevada Music Academy.

Her time at UNLV has broadened her abilities and has exposed her to all different kinds of music. Her love of music continues to blossom and she hopes to share that with other young artists, as well as to inspire them the way her teachers have inspired her.
