Dale Rampton To All Instructors
Dale Rampton (Percussion) was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, and has been on the Las Vegas music scene for almost 50 years. He started playing in Vegas show bands at the age of just 16. Being the son of Roger Rampton and the brother of Kenny Rampton (JOI’s co-founder and artistic director) has set a very high bar for Dale. He has been a member of many of the Las Vegas Strip Orchestras and has been in the backing bands for many celebrities and big productions including Sammy Davis Jr., Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Kenny Rogers, Tom Jones, Andy Williams, Cher, The Osmonds, Tina Turner, The Lennon Sisters, Roger Williams, Shirley MacLaine, Debbie Reynolds, Bobby Vinton, Bernadette Peters, Glen Campbell, Neil Sedaka, The Lettermen, Englebert Humperdink, Mac Davis, Rich Little, Roy Clark, Barbara Fairchild, Tony Bennett, Jerry Vale, Jerry Lewis, Vic Damone, Abbe Lane, Jim Bailey, Al Martino, Deep Purple, Art VanDamme, Petula Clark, Michael Feinstein, "Family Guy" TV Taping, Michael Legrand, The Jerry Lewis Telethon, The Las Vegas Symphony, Aaron Copeland, and many Vegas ‘production’ shows : Dazzle Dazzle, Folies Bergere, Casino De Paris and Hallelujah Hollywood. In addition, Dale also performed on cruise ships and riverboats for many years and played in several other jazz groups.
